I currently work at the CBS affiliate WSPA in Spartanburg, South Carolina. It's located in the 35th largest market in the US. I'm an associate producer/writer for the station. Spent the last ten years or so traveling the southern part of the US with stints in Yuma, AZ, Chattanooga, TN. and now here. I commute about 60 miles one way from my home in Asheville. Its been a bit cold here for the last three weeks and it's a hoot to see people panic at the mention of snow. Since I live in the mountains it is a bit of a problem but the snow only lasts for a few days. It certainly is a little cooler than Yuma.
Working on my Masters in Liberal Arts. Looking forward to being able to make it home for the 20th.

I am living in PI with my the love of my life Vi (Michaud, PIHS Class of '84) of 15 years. We have 3 children, Derrek (12), Roseanna (9) and Crystal (8). We are living now in the same house that I grew up in, we bought it from Mom and Dad. I continue my work with Fed Ex and Vi with ACAP. I still love to work on cars and am someday planning to restore an antique with my son however, with our schedule, notice the ..someday... I look forward to seeing you all at our 20th, sounds great....

Right after school I graduated from Wyomie Tech. College and worked for Presque Isle Volkswagen. During these 6 years I became a Master Certified Technician in Volkswagon-Audi & became a certified A.S.E. Master Technician. I then tried my own business selling Snap-On Tools but after 3 years on the road and not getting too far ahead I was asked by my dad to come in and manange his sanitation business because he was having health problems. So here I am, general manager of Gil's Sanitation Inc. During this time, in 1992 I bought a home in Presque Isle and I married Susan Archer in 1995. After living there for 14 years we built a new house in Washburn where we now reside with our only child Morgan, 9. I've also been a member of the Presque Isle Lions Club for the past 10 years, Presque Isle Knights of Columbus for 15 years and the Northern Maine Planning Commitee, Sanitation and Recyling Group for the past 3 years.

Well I'm still in P.I. and keeping very busy. Hal and I have been married almost 20 years and have three happy and healthy kids. Kyle (14 in April) loves hockey and will start high school in the fall, Cody (6 in May) is just like his grammpy Jim whom I am sure you all remember....talks all the time! And then we have Kiara (2 in February). She is a ball of energy and very dramatic. We all are enjoying her!
I teach at the Central Aroostook Child Developement Center in Caribou. We work with children that have emotional and behavior problems.
It was fun checking out this site and enjoyed reading about everyone! I didn't make the 10th but I am looking forward to the 20th.

Gary & I have been back in Presque Isle since 1990, after 4 years in the Portland area. We have 2 very beautiful & active children, Chase age 10 and Hannah age 6. I switched careers after 14 years in banking to insurance. I am currently a Personal Lines Underwriter for Maine Mutual Fire Ins. and I am loving it. Great organization to work for and I really enjoy my co-workers. Gary has been working with my parents, helping with their bottle water business. He enjoys working with my father and I find comfort knowing that my father is not doing all on his own.
Looking around in the Class of 82 website has brought back a lot of wonderful memories.

I live in Switzerland with my beautiful daughter, Maxine. She is the reason I chose to remain in Zurich after my divorce. The potatoes aren't that great and lobster here is a joke, but the life is good. I am a singer in an a cappela group here that records and performs in Switzerland. Lately I have been traveling to Eastern European countries like Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Czech Republic working as an English language consultant. Me, the guy who barely passed English class.
I am happy to have found this reunion sight. I have searched for other class members on the web, but have never had any luck until today. I should have thought of checking for the school on the net, I guess. But I never was very bright.

After graduation I entered the U.S. Army, went to foreign countries, met foreign people, etc. I spent a little more than 4 years on active duty as a Russian Interrogator. After my service in the military I returned to Presque Isle and became a police officer at P.I.P.D. where I am entering my 14th year and hold the rank of Sergeant. In 1998 I married Tim Kelly who owns and operates a planer mill in Ashland. Tim and I enjoy spending time together when we can get it and riding motorcycle. Great page, Laura! It has been so much fun reading about everybody that we went to school with. I married another of our classmates, Merle Dahlgren, in 1983 and we moved to Killeen, Texas. Merle joined the Army and was stationed at Fort Hood. We have two sons, Joshuah [age 16] and Jacob [age 14]. We later divorced and I moved to Alabama with the boys. Jacob has recently moved back to Maine to go to school so he is now living in Woodland with Merle. Joshuah will be graduating from high school in 2001 and plans to go to college to become a computer programer. Merle works for Columbia Forest Products and I work for my boyfriend and also cator banquets and parties. Hope to see ya'LL soon!

Thanks to a great friend (Craig) who keeps me grounded in Presque Isle, I found the site. Laura, this is great and we all appreciate your efforts to get us connected after these years.
Seems like not long ago we were all together. After UMO and 7 moves in 11 years; my wife, Marsha who I met at UMO, and I settled in the Atlanta, GA area. We have two wonderful children, Allison, age 9, and James, age 6, who keep us on the move. Living in the south has an advantage from a sports perspective, there's always at least 1 going on all the time. After all the moves, and with both our familes having moved away from Maine, we decided we need to establish our own roots for the kids, so four years ago we decided on Atlanta. Last year the pressure was on for another relocation, so I switched jobs to take on world wide operations for a local software company called Logility. Travel bumped up as a result, but we held on to the roots commitment. There are few places I don't get to these days (except northern Maine it seems) so I'm looking forward to all the contacts in case I'm close some day, but even better, can't wait to see everyone at the reunion. Spread the word - it would be great to have a huge turnout.

I left P.I. right after graduation to go to school in Bangor Me. Went to Mansfield Beauty Academy. Finished in 1983, worked for a salon in the Bangor Mall for 3 years. In 1986 ventured out on my own,took over a salon in the Bangor area called Studio 1 Hair Salon in 1995. I am also a certified Cosmetology Rater for the State of Me. Love what I do and have been cutting hair for 19 years.... Have a few clients from the P.I. area, one which includes one of our classmates "Terry Jordon". We have had fun catching up on old times! Had a house built in 2000 with my fiance' Wesley, we have raised his son Arnie, who is a great basketball player from Nokomis High School.(Sad to say we beat P.I. on Sat. Jan 26 2002!) We also have a great family dog named "Buckey" who is 10 years old now.. Looking so forward to seeing everyone at the 20th reunion!! It should be a great time.The 10th was great! I haven't ventured too far since graduation...I married Rob Cowett (Class of 1981) in 1986 and we currently work together in our automotive business. We are "die hard" race car fans (he races at Speedway 95 in Bangor, ME and Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, ME) and we will be attending the Daytona 500 for the second time in February 2000 in Daytona, Florida. We are hoping for children in the future, but in the meantime we are enjoying our time together. This is a great site and I am glad, Laura, that you emailed me about it! I married "that boy from Caribou" Steve Gallant in 1983 and we lived in the Portland, Me area for about 7 years. We chose to move back to the "County" to raise our kids (Rebeckah and Nicolas, now 16 and 12)and have not regretted it. Luckily, we are able to travel a bit to see other places in the world - Okay Jason so I don't get to Portland very often but I do get out! I spent the first 15 years of marriage staying at home being a Mom and then went to work full time at MBNA America and I love it! It is very challenging and rewarding. Steve works for Maine Mutual Fire Insurance Company. I can't wait to hear from some folks and I can't wait for the reunion! If it's anything like the 10th I'm sure we'll have a great time!

Hi everyone! Albert and I have been back in the Bangor area since 1991. Prior to that we spent 5 years in Boston. I received my B.S. in Education from Lesley College in Cambridge, MA. When we left Boston, we took 6 weeks and travelled across the country. Al and I moved back to Maine to pursue our careers and family life. I taught First Grade in the Brewer School system for 7 years and am currently staying at home to raise "my three sons!" They're great kids, Joshua is 8, Christopher is 5 and Mathew is 3. Very busy with all their activities, sports and volunteering. Albert is CFO for ZF Lemforder, an automotive component manufacturing company in Brewer. He travels alot since they have 8 plants in North America and the parent company is in Germany. Well, it has been alot of fun reading about everyone! Hope more people sign in. I am holding my most important position to date as a full time mother to my son Alexander (now 15 months old). I've been married to Kevin Lafortune for 5+ years and we reside in Saco. He's a Software Engineer with Keane, Inc. based out of Boston. We enjoy travelling (pre-Alex) hiking, cross-country skiing, bed and breakfasts and the Maine coast.

Finally got married at age 32! Have 2 daughters, Lauren (12) and Julia (4). I work as an Enterprise Network Support Manager for the State of NH - Dept. of Health & Human Services. This time around the reunion finds me in a better mood. I must first appologize for the lies I told you for the first reunion. I was in the middle of a nasty divorce and after many adult refreshments a friend and I filled out the reunion info sheet. Sorry. But it seemed really funny to me at the time......The truth is....
I have lived in Virginia for the past 13 years and am a SACC teacher for Farfax County at an elementary school in Vienna Va. I have two wonderful sons, Gary 17 & Charlie 13, and two great step children Joe 25 and Theresa 18. My husband Joe and I have been married almost 2 years. My highlights of this year have been completing 2 marathons (New Orleans- Mardi Gras & the Marine Corps) and learning how to swim... I was pushed in to this... we go to our condo in NC every summer and I never step in the ocean. I have traveled a bit...Mexico, Cruise, west coast, Hawaii and did I say Mexico...I have great stories about that place. After graduation I worked locally for Carl W. Smith Foods. In 1984 I married Lisa Pelkey (class of 84). We moved to Brewer, ME. I remained with Smith Foods until we moved back to P.I. in 1986. I started working for my father in law selling cars. Lisa opened a beauty salon next door to me. After a year I took over the convenience store J.P. Cash Mkt., where I stayed until 1993 when we opened Percy's Auto Sales a Chrysler Dodge Jeep Dealership. I am still at the dealership working as the G.M. I have 3 boys Nicholas 11, Ryley 8, and Chase 4. Lisa and I just celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary. Life is good in P.I.! Hope to see you all at the 20th, that WILL be a party!

Linda and I tied the knot in 2000, and we're expecting our first at the end of June. My daughters, Pam (15) and Kristen (14), are both in high school now and shining examples of the power of genetics (you'll see what I mean if we make it to the reunion). Finally, I left the world of radio last year and am now a full-time student, studying Multimedia Design at Southern Maine Technical College; I am proud to report that, by the time our twentieth high school reunion rolls around, I will be one short year away from my Associate's degree. It's a good thing I appreciate irony...

I am living in Portland and I work for the City of Portland (social services). I am married ( 2 yrs now)and my husband (Jim) and I have decided not to have chldren. We love to travel and are planning a trip to Italy this year. (Have any of you been to Italy? If so please e-mail and fill me in on what to see and do!) I haven't been back to Presque Isle for sometime now. I am married. We have two greats kids, a girl, 11 and a boy, 8. I work full time for the State of ME and maintain our Christmas Tree Farm in Mapleton, nights and weekends. My wife works full time at a local lumber yard and also works on the tree farm in her spare time. A few years ago, I purchased a team of work horses from an Amish family in Delaware. I enjoy working with them on our tree farm. The team is a big part of our "Choose and Cut" season as we offer sleigh rides in December. We are big in the 4-H and have pure bred Herefords. My daughter has done well showing her baby beef at the Northern Maine Fair. My son just began showing lambs and enjoys it. It's nice to read about what everyone is up to. I hope more will submit info.

Hi Everyone: Thanks to John O'lore who provided me with this web site I am able to see what some of you have been doing. I moved to Portland in 84 (and never left) to attend USM, studied accounting and for the past 8 yrs I have worked for UnumProvident, the worlds leading disability insurance company, as a financial consultant mgr. For the past decade I have shared a condo with friends at Sugarloaf Mountain. I love it so much that I have a weekend part time job as a surveyor for marketing department, I do the work on skis. My summer passion is sailing; I maintain and moor a boat in Casco Bay. I have enjoyed some world traveling and am planning a trip to visit a PI friend who working in Australia. I have lots of fun with family and friends and adore my 5 nephews and niece.

I still live in Mapleton, never leaving this small town. My husband, Kendall Webber, and I have been married 9 years and have three children, (two with my former husband, Gerald McGlinn) Bethany (15), Matthew (13), and Kacey Jo Webber(7). Bethany and Matt are very active in sports and school activities and keep us quite busy, and Kacey is following in their footsteps. I'm very proud of my family! Hi everyone! I've been working in New York City as a patent lawyer for the last 12 years. Yes, I managed to survive the acts of the terrorists (so far, anyway). Our offices are in mid-town, so we were far enough away, although the morning of the attack on the WTC I was on a flight from NY to Washington. Soon after I arrived in Washington, the Pentagon was hit, and our office building in Washington was evacuated, because we're only a few blocks from the White House. I have the dubious distinction of being in both cities attacked that morning (maybe I'm bad luck, but you can probably feel safe when I return for the reunion -- I'm sure PI isn't high on the list of potential terrorist targets). I'm still in shock at the loss of the twin towers. The great city of NY (not quite as great as PI, of course), will never be the same. Go get 'em, George W.
I'm living in Stamford, Connecticut with my wife, Lori, and our three boys (Don, Tyler, and Dillon -- ages 8, 6, and 4, respectively). Most of my free time is spent with the family -- coaching t-ball, etc.

I moved away from PI my junior year and ended up in Windham, Me where I graduated from. I headed right off to college and got a degree in nursing then spent 14 years working as an ICU nurse in different hospitals in NH and MA. I met my husband of 12 years during my first job! We have 2 children, Nathan -6 and Brianna - 9. For the past year or so I have been back in school working on a masters in nurse anesthesia so that I can become a nurse anesthetist. I have one more year (graduate in 2001) to go and then we plan on heading back to Maine for me to find a place to practice!

I relocated back to Maine in Spring of '98 after living 15yrs in Columbus, Ohio. I am divorced with 2 wonderful kids, Timothy 15 yrs and Alaina 13 yrs. They live with their Mom in Ohio. I am a full time computer operator working for Central Maine Power in Augusta and I work part time for the town hall in Freeport, Maine in the Finance department. I am always on the lookout for the next ex-Mrs. Clinton J. Swett! I haven't been up to "The County" in over 18yrs, I'm sure it has changed a lot. Well, all of you Northern Maine wanna be's, I haven't gone too far. I'm only about 16 miles from the great Star City. I'm married and have two children, Ryan age 12, and Alyssa age 7. I operate my own business (Exquisite Homes Inc.) which is a distributor of modular homes based out of Quebec. I also have my real estate license. I do some traveling around the U.S. as a sales representative for the company as well. I do have some great pictures of the 10th reunion which I will be submitting (so you better watch out) do you remember what you did that night ?? You know who you are. Right after graduation I left Maine to begin my Army enlistment. After completing basic training and aviation maintenance technical training in Alabama, I was stationed in New Mexico, Alaska, and Alabama. During my time in the Army, I saw much of the United States and some of the world in general. I obtained certification as a Pilot and Aircraft Mechanic / Inspector. I stayed in the Army until after the Gulf War (Disabled Veteran). In 1986, I married Ms. Elizabeth (she makes me very happy:-) and I am known as "Daddy" to two great teenagers, Sean Michael and Kristen Elizabeth (one of each). We currently have a home in Plantation, Florida (part of Fort Lauderdale) where I work for the Federal Aviation Administration as an Aviation Safety Program Manager. I will be finishing my first Masters Degree soon, and am persuing a Doctorate in Public Administration. From time-to-time, we make it back to "The County" to visit my folks.
