| On July 8, 1999, Mommy and I started our journey to Texas. This is a picture of me at the Boston airport, looking at the big plane that would take us all the way to Texas. I liked watching the planes at the airport but really didn't want to go for another ride on one myself. But, since mom was going... I decided I'd better go along with her. | ![]() |

Flying to Texas was a first flight for me - and mom! I was a very good girl on the plane. I snacked and napped, read books and colored pictures. Here's a picture that was taken from the plane. Oooo... I liked looking out the window, but it was kind of scary, too. |
| We had lots of fun while we were in Texas. Mommy visited with Michelle while I played with Logan and Blake. We went to playgrounds and we went shopping. We had a great time just hanging out together. Here's a picture of me with my buddies Logan and Blake, and their mommy, Michelle. Did you know that my mommy met Logan's mommy on AOL when they were expecting us? Isn't that neat? | ![]() |

I had lots of fun with my buddy Logan! We climbed, we jumped... we screamed and ran around the house after each other. Although we did have a some "tense" moments when we both decided we wanted the same toy, we always worked it out. Mommy and Michelle helped us. |
| This is a picture of me and Logan playing with our little baby dolls. I liked Logan's baby so much that mommy and Michelle had to go shopping to get one for me, just like Logan's. This picture shows what we did after mommy said, "Look up so I can take your picture!" | ![]() |

One of my very favorite places to play at Michelle's house was the stairs. They were very big, and lots of fun to go up and down. I loved to play there with my new baby doll. |
| When it was hot, we would all play in a little pool in the backyard, or... | ![]() |

we would go have a blast in the pool next door. I loved standing on the step and jumping into mommy's arms! |
| Logan's big brother Blake was very brave! He could jump off the diving board into the deep end of the pool. He practiced it a lot and got very good at it! | ![]() |

Michelle liked having a little girl in the house. She loved to fix up my hair - when I would let her. She had lots of bows and ribbons to play with. We found a Barbie make-up kit on one of our shopping trips. Can you tell by the look on my face that I had lots of fun with it? It was even more fun than playing with mommy's make-up! |
| We had a very exciting lunch at the Rain Forest Cafe. It was like eating in the jungle! The walls and ceilings were covered with leaves and branches, and you never knew what you might see lurking in them. Here are Blake and Logan outside of the restaurant, standing closer than I would to an alligator that growled and swished his tail. | ![]() |

While in Texas visiting Mommy's friend Michelle, I got to meet my cousin Michelle for the very first time. She was very nice. I liked her a lot right from the start. She had lunch with us at the Rain Forest Cafe, and we got to sit right next to a roaring waterfall! Behind us was a cheetah who growled, blinked his eyes and swung his tail. Every once in a while we watched some gorillas start to dance and shake the trees. It was funny! |
| When it was time to go, I didn't want to fly in a plane again. I wanted to take mommy's car, but it was very, very far away in Maine. The only way to get home was to fly. So, I packed all of my pacifiers (my travel "security blanket," of sorts) in my new froggy backpack and was ready to go. Mom packed everything else - we think! | ![]() |

Finally we were all ready to go to the airport. I was in the living room playing with the straps on my new purple overalls when all of a sudden they fell down! Mommy and Michelle laughed, then mommy helped me get them back up. We gathered our things and said goodbye to Michelle's house, then Michelle drove us back to the Dallas-Fort Worth airport for the flight home. Logan, Blake and I each had a lollipop from my snack bag, and we all said goodbye. |
| Our four-hour flight from Dallas to Boston went very well. (Mommy's many prayers were answered!) We had a three hour layover in Boston, so Mom made a few phone calls and we had our supper. I loved going up and down the escalators! Mom and I found another fun place, the Children's Museum of Boston's KidPort. I had a great time playing there. My favorite was the little airplane. I could slide out of windows on the side, or go up front and pretend to drive the plane. | ![]() |

I also had a lot of fun on the baggage claim slide that was there. First, I climbed up the stairs and went through the belts, just like I was a piece of luggage. |
| Then, the fun part - I got to go down the slide! After that, I would get up and go round and round the carosel - just like our suitcases did! | ![]() |

They had some neat little wooden train sets, too. I pushed the little train around the track, then liked to watch it go down the little hills by itself. Mom and I made little "Choo Choo" noises and laughed! |
Finally, we arrived back in Bangor. It was after 10:00 p.m., and we were very tired but also very happy to be back in Maine. My Grammy and Grampy were there to pick us up. I was so glad to see them! I was even glad to see mommy's car! It was a sign of home. As we were leaving the Bangor airport, I asked mommy, "Where are mommy and Brookey going now?" I was beginning to wonder if we'd ever get back home! We stayed the night with Grammy and Grampy. The next day, we had breakfast, watched Rugrats and went to the playground, then drove home. We had a great time in Texas, but it was wonderful to be back home again and see Daddy, Sissy, Lewis, Nanny and Heather. We missed them a lot! I think they missed me and mommy, too. :o)
