Brookey's Winter 2000 Adventures

Brookey with her snowman family Brr! It's winter in Northern Maine, and it sure is a long one! The snow arrived a little late this year, but we've got lots of it now! We try to make the best of things, though, and enjoy the snow all we can. Mom and I love to make snowmen. Our first snowman of the season didn't make it through his first night, and I was heartbroken to see what was left of him the next morning. We had much better luck with our next try, though. The snow was really sticky that day and mom was able to make me a mommy, a daddy and a baby snowman, just like I asked for!

Right after we made our snowman family it turned cold, and they have lasted for a long time. I love them! Every day I say good morning to my snowmen. Mom and I notice little changes in them, like an eye missing (oh, no!) or a mitten that has blown away. They're doing pretty well, though, considering how old they are. playing with watercolors We have to stay inside quite a bit during winter in Northern Maine, but mom and I find lots of fun things to do. I love to paint with watercolors. I have created many masterpieces lately. You ought to see the refrigerator in our kitchen - it's loaded with Brookey creations!
I'm getting pretty good with my paints, too. I used up a whole tray of them and mom got me a new one yesterday. If you look closely at this picture, you can see the faces I have been painting. Mommy tells me they are beautiful, and I like that! painting faces on paper
young computer genius I love to play with programs on our computer. My favorite was JumpStart Baby, but then my grammy and grampy brought up JumpStart Toddler and I love that one, too!

winter wagon ride We're starting to be some mild, sunny days and they're great! Crusing in a wagon is the way to go!
